The Best Hanoi Clubs

Jan 11 , 2012

Whether you’re looking to indulge in the expat scene, or want to experience clubs with Hanoi locals, there’s a nightlife spot for you in Vietnam’s capital city. Put on your dancing shoes and check out these Hanoi clubs for the best of the best.

Le Club: Located in the swanky Metropole Hotel, this chic champagne bar is worth a visit when checking out Hanoi clubs. Lounge in the sophisticated interior room, or sip your cocktails poolside to feel truly elite. To get the full experience, try the club’s signature drink, the blush-toned Graham Greene Martini.

Next Bar: This Vietnamese style Hanoi club is the ideal spot for those who want to experience a true local hotspot. Whether you want to dance the night away, or chat with friends around a sleek table while sipping drinks, Next Bar is sure to impress. The main attraction of the club is the stellar music pumped through the speakers. The main DJ is also the co-owner of the club, so you know he’s spinning tunes with the intent to get every body in the room moving.

Dragonfly: Popular with the expat community, Dragonfly is a relatively inexpensive option for club-goers in Hanoi. With a shisha lounge upstairs, and a dance floor downstairs, there’s a room to suit every mood here. Tourists and local expats make up the majority of the clientele, which gives the club a decidedly friendly and open feel.

Minh’s Jazz Club: For those visitors looking for a more laid-back Hanoi club, Minh’s Jazz Club is an excellent alternative to the loud dance music of many other nightlife options. Superb live entertainment more than makes up for the slightly higher drink prices -- after all, this is the original Hanoi jazz club!

Face Club: Newly renovated with the best quality lighting and sound systems around, Face Club is one of the hottest Hanoi clubs for the city’s elite. Attracting both local and international DJs, this nightclub fills up each night with both travelers as well as locals. Expect to hear trance, techno, and all-around loud music perfect for shaking your booty to -- that is why you came, after all.

Temple Bar: For great music and dancing, head to Temple Bar in the Old Town. Part of the space is a more low-key bar, and part of it is a raging late-night dance party. The floors are sticky and the patrons sweaty, but if you’re looking for a fun night, you’re sure to find it at Temple Bar

Sunset Bar: Sunset Bar is a wildly popular waterfront Hanoi club located in the classy Intercontinental Hotel.  Situated on a small island in West Lake, the space provides stunning views and a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Though it’s not ideal for party-goers looking for pumping speakers and cheap drinks, it is a beautiful lounge and the perfect place for a cocktail, or two!

Start your night out right with drinks at one of the best bars in Hanoi.
